1. 1. Slane
    2. Point Depot (with the contdown)

Thought I already posted this list somewhere.....
  2. Hello!

    The best Version for me.

One of Bono's finest, most powerfully emotional vocal performances ever. Quite simply, indescribable. I can't believe people are saying he "lost" his voice after the Zoo era.
  4. Zootv Sydney best version ever for me until today.
  5. They ditched Larry's drumming during the intro
  6. Zurich II is a nice performance
  7. Man this is definitely hard to say. I gotta pick a top 3

    1) Point depot new years eve
    2) Slane
    3) ZooTV Dublin

An honourable mention, many of the vertigo tour versions, as well as the 360 tour versions are wicked, but those are my top 3.
  8. 1. Slane 2001
    2. Boston 2001
    3. Sydney 1993
    4. Point Depot 1989-1990
    5. Tuscon (?) 1987 (R&H DVD)
  9. 1. Boston 2001
    2. Slane
    3. Zoo Tv Sydney
  10. I really like the version on the Rattle and Hum movie. I love the way it starts with all the red colours on the stage, and then all the lights come on and it's at night. Plus Bono's voice sounds pretty immense.

Second would have to be Point Depot shows during Lovetown, as Bono really goes for it with his voice there. He kinda sounds like he's dealing with a bit of a hangover or is still mildly drunk, hence the 'playfulness' and the "I don't give a damn" attitude.

Looking at all the recent versions of the last 15yrs, I'd have to go with Slane DVD version - something very magical about that performance and how Bono starts the song there.

    So:

    1. RAH movie version.
    2. Point Depot shows.
    3. Slane DVD version.
