I'm sorry that you and your Dad had to endure this bullying (People got really aggressive pushing and screaming at us....). I hope you enjoyed your night in spite of what happened and had a good time. Thank you for your courage in highlighting this. I hope the U2 organisation are taking note.

It's been happening for years. If they haven't done anything by now...?

Me and my dad were sitting at a door for 3 hours waiting, and suddenly a woman came up to us and said: "you dont have a number so you have to go somewhere else." We said: "but we are waiting for 3 hours here and you were nowhere to be seen so why do we have to go?" After that people got really agressive pushing and screaming at us...

Venue security didn't fence off an entrance for the GA line who got the wristbands earlier that day. It doesn't justify any impolite actions though. I understand the frustration from both sides. GA queue started on Saturday afternoon and the first 130 or so had been in the queue ever since Sunday morning after the first flight from Dublin touched down in Berlin, cheking in three times a day.

If venue security had fenced off one entry right after handing out the wristbands (like they did with the earlier Berlin shows) this mess up wouldn't have happened.

Somewhere between 5 and 6pm venue security finally came out trying to save the day.

Not meaning to start a discussion about sense and non-sense of GA queues, but there are two sides of the story.
  3. It really depends on the policy of the venue, I think. I was at Soldier Field in Chicago last year. On the day of the show wristbands were handed out during the first hours of the day with the message that we had to report back at 4pm. Everybody with a wristband entered the the stadium an hour before other gates opened. Had to wait inside where we could use the toilets and buy drinks and food. 15 minutes before the gates opened, the wristbanded queue were guided into the GA area.

Thanks for replying. Looking forward to seeing the shots from the camera above the crowd going crazy.

  5. No.There is no queue that starts three days before the show with people leaving and coming back. It's only in some MAD people's minds. It's a condition. And behaviour as the above mentioned with aggressive behaviour against others who don't know about the bizarre 'queue Ing ritual' is really, really sad.
  6. If this 'queueing' had existed during the Sixtus, I bet Mark Chapman would have been the one to start the queue for The Beatles shows in Honolulu....
  7. Nobody here who wants to talk about their amazing Berlin experience anymore? Instead of queieing madness? ?

I loved how the crowd reacted after Bono finishing beautiful day. And this time, I stood a bit further away from the rail, to take in the amazing visuals on the screen. Got really emotional when Zoo Station started, having been at Bahnhof Zoo mysel earler that day and meeting the band at their hotel that's opposite the station.

Still haven't landed on my feet right now, will probably remain on cloud nine for a couple of days longer.
  8. I really think fans should write to Guy Oseary about this matter. He was in touch with a fan group before right? And he said he was open to continuing communication with them in the future. I think if a large number of fans express there dislike for the system it will get somewhere. Unfortunately complaining here won’t, that’s not me having a go, we all need to vent and I agree with what the people complaining are saying but if we really want to change it then it needs to get to the guys in charge. I wasn’t happy reading the situation DutchU2Fan was in the other day, the reality is this could end up leading to some very nasty stuff in the future beyond intimidation and threats, someone could get hurt and that’s quite worrying, maybe the time has come for this current system to change.
  9. just give me what I want and nobody get's hurt.. hello, hello, I'm at a place called virtual queue

Guy Oseary has full hands of running secondary ticket market and taking $$$ to his pockets and doesn't give a sh*t about fans...

Indeed. Let's talk about the show and not the GA madness which luckily is all over now.

I can't wait for this film to be released and put the whole AB set + Achtung Baby on infinite repeat

Yeah one of the big reasons for wanting to go to this show (amongst the usual reasons) was the possibility of attending a show to be officially released. I’m trying not to get too excited about that until it’s 100% confirmed with a release date and available to pre-order but it would be without a doubt my most treasured u2 item if it is released.
