2024-03-02 - Las Vegas
Tour: U2:UV Achtung Baby at the Sphere
Songs played: 24
Audio recordings: 5
  1. Friend of mine was told the same, no live songs at all. And others aren't limited at all. So probably producers behind the scenes trying to make sure there's a good balance...
  2. One of the few Desire sets I heard had a theme: Best Set Closer. And the guy wound up using Love Is Blindness from Sydney 93 along with Can’t Help Falling In Love from the same show. He ended up technically having 6 songs. I guess the producers didn’t count Can’t Help Falling In Love as a full song.
  3. It’s available on Apple Music, idk why it wouldn’t be on iTunes

"Window in the Skies" is one of the singles not available in the US via iTunes, so I'm not surprised to hear they don't have it. There are relatively few singles available in the US on iTunes. (They do seem to have access to the old stuff from The Complete U2 though including the live album, but again that was out before Window in the Skies...)
  4. The lack of live material so far makes this not worth listening to much for me personally. Until they start doing what just about every other artist specific channel does and starts playing more live shows I don't see much point in listening. I check all the time on the app to see what is playing but so far this channel has been a huge disappointment for me. Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Bruce, etc all play live shows or tracks regularly and did from the launch of their channels but hopefully U2X will start the same considering they claimed they would be doing so prior to launch. I love the fact they have their own channel and I am probably in the minority but I just do not care about interviews or discussions of music or recording stories or anything like that. I only care about the music itself and listening to it.
  5. Haven't followed this for a while since in NL we got cut off. Apart from a lack of live material, are any rarities (that fans didn't have access to) played?

    Nope.
  7. Sounds like a whole pile of nothing to be honest....they really are woeful when it comes to things like this
  8. It's all a licensing problem I guess. They can't get permission to play unreleased stuff/outtakes or live shows that are not released.
  9. I don't know why they can't play he good live audio concerts
  10. They play unlicensed stuff on other Sirius stations all the time. The Springsteen channel plays bootleg audio all the time, even before Springsteen started the live releases. I know other channels have done other artists bootlegs too.
  11. Edge would have to preview each recording
