1. Custom IEMs do not necessarily mean the best isolation either? There is a compromise between comfort and isolation.

Edge wore universal Etymotics on the Vertigo tour and early 360? Notoriously uncomfortable but provide the best isolation, apparently, with the correct tips.
  2. Depends. I've seen some custom IEMs that actually have a hole drilled in to allow outside sound. There's also the system that puts ambience mics on your shoulders and then mixes it into the mix (Muse uses this).

I know starting in 2015, the band switched to JH audio IEMs.

  3. And then he has his own little button on the beltpack I presume?
  4. Yep. It's called the volume knob.
  5. haha.. I'm sure he has a way of having it as loud as he wants. Guess the secret is in the noise cancellation/earfit?

Wow I didn't know Muse (or any other band for that matter) carried their own ambience microphones Kind of nice when you move into/around the audience and want to hear them instead of being isolated from them, which must feel quite awkward.

  7. Awesome. Here's a cover I made for it a while back.
  8. Yes great Bad snippet!!!
  9. Finally a recording from this show! This is pretty good for an Iphone recording (an SE for that matter). Sound is a little flat and direct, but the instruments and vocals are on point. This is a nice treat!

A small but nice upgrade to the New Orleans 97 show. You may have heard of the title "Supermarket Superdome" before. This recording is different to the one already up on the audios page (which imo is more like a 3 recording than a 2). This recording isn't a massive upgrade, but it's still nice. A little distant with some crowd noise, but everything is audible. I'd give it a 3 and a half star, as it's somewhat better in areas than the other one.
