I don’t see what point this is making whatsoever, repetition has been around in music forever. There are actually other lines added as well. In that final third that aren’t in the rest of the song. Really moot point.

Wow. Is there any joy in your life? Also, if you're so smart then it isn't too hard to figure out what's going on in the song based on the movie's trailer. Bono's character seems to have lost a loved one which has made him a recluse. The characters go looking for him and WOAH! he realizes that singing and music rejuvenates him.
